ABOUT UBIA
OUR MISSION
Uniting Utah Cattle Breeders
The Utah Beef Improvement Association was created to promote genetic progress in Utah’s beef industry. In the early 1970s, a group of forward-thinking cattle producers partnered with Utah State University Extension to establish a program focused on performance testing and producer education.
In 1972, UBIA launched its first central bull test. What started with a small group of committed breeders has grown into one of the leading all-breeds performance tests in the Intermountain West. Today, bulls from across Utah and surrounding states are evaluated each year to provide reliable data that helps producers make better breeding decisions.
Beyond the bull test, UBIA supports cattlemen through educational programs such as Ranch to Rail, Beef Cattle Field Days, and regional livestock workshops.
The association exists for one reason. To help cattlemen improve their herds and strengthen the future of beef production in the region.
